Advertising material

This website is an advertisement for legal-related services. It is operated by OLP.com Inc., doing business as CancelMySolar.ai, a marketing and intake company. CancelMySolar.ai is not a law firm, is not licensed to practice law, and does not provide legal advice or legal services.

1. What CancelMySolar.ai is

CancelMySolar.ai publishes educational information about consumer rights relating to residential solar contracts and offers a free questionnaire that summarizes your situation. When you ask us to, we pass your information to an independent intake company, which reviews solar contract inquiries and, where appropriate, refers them to an independent attorney or law firm that handles this area of law. We do not select, employ, supervise or vouch for those attorneys, and we are not a lawyer referral service certified or registered by any state bar.

2. No attorney-client relationship

Reading this website, submitting an assessment, receiving a consultation, or speaking with us or our intake partner does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone, and information you send us is not protected by attorney-client privilege until you have engaged an attorney and are communicating with that attorney. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when you and an attorney sign a written engagement agreement. Until then, do not rely on anything on this site as legal advice, and do not let any deadline pass on the assumption that someone is handling your matter.

3. About the free consultation

The free consultation is an informational discussion, by a member of our team or our intake partner, based on your answers to the questionnaire and the information you provide. It is not a legal analysis of your contract, does not evaluate the merits, value or likely outcome of any claim, and is not a substitute for review of your actual documents by a licensed attorney. Different attorneys may reach different conclusions about the same facts.

4. How we are paid

You pay CancelMySolar.ai nothing. Our intake partner pays us for advertising and intake services, and that compensation may depend on the number of consumers we refer. We do not receive any portion of attorney's fees, and our compensation does not depend on whether you hire an attorney or on the outcome of your matter. Any fees for legal services are set out in the written engagement agreement between you and the attorney, which you should read carefully before signing. Attorneys are not permitted to pay for referrals in most states, and no attorney pays CancelMySolar.ai for the referral of your matter.

5. No guarantee of results

Every solar contract dispute depends on its own facts, the documents involved, the law of your state, and deadlines that may already have passed. Nothing on this site promises that your contract can be cancelled, modified or refunded, that any lien can be removed, or that any claim will succeed. Any results, savings, timelines or outcomes described on this site, including in customer testimonials, reflect particular situations and do not predict or guarantee the result in your case. Testimonials are the opinions of the individuals who gave them; results vary.

6. About the attorneys

Attorneys who receive referrals through our intake partner are licensed in the states in which they practice and are independent of CancelMySolar.ai. Licensing varies by state, and an attorney may not be available for every state or every matter. Before hiring any attorney you may verify their license and disciplinary history with the bar of the state in which they are licensed. Nothing on this site should be understood as a statement that any attorney is certified as a specialist, or is better than other attorneys, unless the attorney tells you so and the applicable bar rules permit it.

7. Deadlines and payments

Consumer-protection deadlines are short and strict. The federal cooling-off period for most in-home sales is three business days; other rights have limitation periods measured in years that vary by state. If you believe you may have a claim, consult a licensed attorney promptly. Do not stop making payments under any agreement, and do not remove or disable any equipment, unless a licensed attorney representing you has advised you to do so.

8. State notices

Some states require specific statements in attorney-related advertising. To the extent they apply to this site: This is an advertisement. ADVERTISING MATERIAL. The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements; before you decide, ask any attorney to send you free written information about their qualifications and experience. Free background information is available upon request from any attorney to whom you are referred. No representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers. CancelMySolar.ai is not affiliated with any government agency, solar company, lender or utility.
