Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use cancelmysolar.ai or submit an assessment, how we use and share it (including with our intake partner and the attorneys your file may be referred to), and the choices you have, including Do Not Sell or Share.

Effective September 20, 2026  •  OLP.com Inc., doing business as CancelMySolar.ai

In plain English

You give us information so we can assess your solar contract situation and connect you with an intake partner and, where appropriate, an independent attorney. We share that information with those parties and with the service providers that run this site. Because we are paid by our intake partner for referrals, sharing your information with them counts as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state laws, and you can opt out at any time. We never pull your credit report. We do not sell your information to data brokers or marketing lists.

1. Who we are

This website, cancelmysolar.ai (the "Site"), is operated by OLP.com Inc., doing business as CancelMySolar.ai ("we," "us," or "our"), 1123 North Bronough Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303. We are a marketing, education and intake company. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site, to the forms on it, and to calls, texts and emails between you and us.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email address, mailing or property address, state.
  • Solar contract details: the type of agreement (lease, power purchase agreement, loan or purchase), the installer, lender or leasing company, the year you signed, monthly payment, what you were told during the sale, problems with the system, and anything else you choose to tell us in the assessment form, by phone, by text or by email.
  • Documents you choose to send us, such as a copy of your contract, proposal or utility bills. Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or government ID numbers; we do not need them and will delete them if received.
  • Communications: the content of calls, voicemails, texts and emails with us. Calls may be recorded or transcribed for quality, training and record-keeping; you will be told at the start of a recorded call.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, the page that referred you, and the date and time of visits.
  • Cookies and similar technologies set by us and by the advertising and analytics partners named in section 4 (currently the Google tag and the Meta Pixel), which measure how our advertising performs and may be used to show you relevant ads on other sites. See section 8 for controls.
  • Campaign identifiers in the link you used to reach us (for example which ad you clicked), which we store with your submission.

Information we do not collect

We do not obtain your credit report or credit score, and completing an assessment does not result in a credit inquiry of any kind. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. How we use information

  • To review your submission, prepare for your consultation, and contact you about it by phone, text or email.
  • To refer you to our intake partner and, through that partner, to an independent attorney or law firm that handles solar contract matters (see section 4).
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To operate, secure, measure and improve the Site and our advertising, including measuring which ads lead to completed assessments.
  • To comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
  • With your consent, to send you information about related services. You can opt out at any time.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only as described here.

  • Our intake partner. We send the information you provide, including your contact details and contract details, to a company that reviews solar contract inquiries, contacts you to confirm your situation, and, where appropriate, refers your file to an independent attorney or law firm. That partner uses your information under its own privacy policy, which it will provide to you.
  • Attorneys and law firms. Through the intake partner, your information may be provided to an independent attorney or law firm so that it can evaluate your matter and, if you choose, represent you. Any attorney-client relationship is between you and that attorney, under that attorney's own engagement terms and confidentiality obligations. We are not a party to it.
  • Service providers that process information on our behalf: our customer relationship management and web-form provider (currently Pipedrive), website hosting (currently Vercel), email and telephony providers, call recording and transcription services, and analytics and advertising platforms (currently Google and Meta). These providers may use your information only to perform services for us, except that advertising platforms also act under their own privacy policies with respect to cookie and pixel data.
  • Legal and safety. To comply with a subpoena, court order or legal process; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, property or safety of you, us or others.
  • Business transfers. If we sell or transfer all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Compensation. Our intake partner pays us for marketing and intake services, and that compensation may depend on the number of consumers we refer. You do not pay us anything. Because we receive value for referring you, providing your information to our intake partner may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws. You may opt out as described in section 7. We do not sell or share personal information to data brokers, list sellers, or unrelated marketers.

By submitting a form on the Site or asking us to contact you, you agree that CancelMySolar.ai, our intake partner, and any attorney or law firm your file is referred to may contact you at the phone number and email address you provide by live call, prerecorded or artificial voice message, automated dialing system, text message and email, about your solar contract inquiry. Consent is not a condition of receiving any service; if you prefer, you may call us at (656) 254-0506 instead of submitting the form. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You may also tell any caller that you do not wish to be contacted further, or email help@cancelmysolar.ai, and we will honor the request and pass it to our partner.

6. How long we keep information

We keep assessment submissions and related communications for as long as needed to provide the services described above and to keep records of consent, referrals and complaints, generally up to five years after your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to resolve a dispute. Call recordings are kept for a shorter period where practical. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the settings of those platforms.

7. Your choices and rights

Anyone, in any state, may make the following requests by emailing privacy@cancelmysolar.ai or help@cancelmysolar.ai, or by calling (656) 254-0506. We will verify your identity by matching the details you provide to our records, respond within 45 days, and never treat you differently for exercising a right.

  • Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Ask us not to provide your information to our intake partner or to advertising platforms for cross-context advertising. If you make this request before we have referred you, we will not refer you; if you make it afterward, we will stop further sharing and ask our partner to honor it.
  • Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we have shared it with.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions (for example records we must keep to document your consent or to defend a legal claim).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Limit the use of any sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive information for anything other than the services you requested.
  • Opt out of marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to any text, or contact us.
  • Authorized agents may make requests on your behalf with written permission; we may ask you to confirm directly.

California residents. The rights above are provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA). In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information listed in section 2 (identifiers, contact and commercial information, internet activity, and the contents of communications), used them for the purposes in section 3, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients in section 4. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a "limit use" notice. You may appeal a decision on your request by replying to our response.

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Florida, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Kentucky, Indiana, Rhode Island and other states with comprehensive privacy laws. You have equivalent rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, and opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling in furtherance of significant decisions, and to appeal a denied request, using the same contact methods. We will identify the law that applies when we respond.

Nevada residents may direct us not to sell covered information by emailing privacy@cancelmysolar.ai.

8. Cookies, pixels and tracking controls

The Site uses a Google tag (Google Ads conversion tracking and, where enabled, Google Analytics) and the Meta Pixel to measure advertising and to build audiences for relevant ads. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers and receive information about your visit, such as the pages you view and whether you complete an assessment. You can control them by: opting out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com and in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences; installing Google's analytics opt-out browser add-on; blocking or clearing cookies in your browser; or making a "Do Not Sell or Share" request under section 7, which we honor for our own sharing and by disabling advertising pixels for your future visits where our tools allow. We treat browser Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. We do not otherwise respond to "Do Not Track" signals, for which there is no accepted standard.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our systems and our providers', and staff training. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

10. Children

The Site is for adults who own or lease a home. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

The Site links to government and other third-party websites for reference. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy does not apply to them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top tells you when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the Site before the change takes effect.
